Here’s a way to integrate your marketing.
Electric Ireland started a Facebook and Twitter competition called #ShareTheEnergy where each day for 5 days there is an opportunity to win tickets to Electric Picnic. They also promoted it with a QR code in the Metro Herald – perfect timing for the start of the competition which kicks off ay 9am each day.
All you need to do is Tweet #ShareTheEnergy – the more times #ShareTheEnergy is tweeted by everyone taking part in the treasure hunt, the closer they zoom in on the map on Facebook.
When the Electic Ireland representative Sparkhead appears, he’ll also reveal his daily codeword – the first person to approach him each day and tell him the daily codeword will get FIVE Electric Picnic festival tickets.
If you’ve got a smartphone, you can even keep up with the hunt while going mobile – you can also access the app from the Electic Ireland Facebook Page.
It’s an interesting idea and one to help Electric Ireland build it’s engagement with a younger demographic.
