When you are creating content for your articles, you may have wanted to include a post from social networks.
Embeds from Twitter have been available for some time, and Instagram launched the embed function in July this year.
Now you can embed content from your own Facebook Page, other organisations Facebook Pages and even peoples profiles where the content has been shared publically.
To embed a post just go to the top of the post where you see the drop down box and click it to get the options available – the bottom one will be the embed function.
When you click on the ‘Embed Post’ link you will then get the code to use in your blog article or website.
When you view an image or photo that has been posted you will see the embed feature under the post. embedding of videos has was already available to do in this way.
You can also access embed code for Facebook personal profiles where the post on your own or another persons profiles has a privacy setting set to ‘Public’.
One of the features is that people can ‘Like’ the Page in or the post directly from the embedded post if they are logged into Facebook so embedding posts could help you get more engagement with your content and help you attract more fans to your Page.
If you want to comment on the embedded post or view the comments, it will open up a new window that takes you to the post’s to leave a comment.
You can also share the content from the embedded post.
This is a long overdue update in my opinion – remember social content marketing is not just about conversations and engagement, it is also about enabling the ability for your content to be shared.
Will you be using Facebook embedded posts?
