Are you still wondering what all the fuss is about Twitter? If you want to explore using Twitter then check out the latest ebook from Irish based entrepreneur Karen Brown ‘How To Go From Twitter Newbie To Expert In 7 Days‘ which covers 21 tips to undertake over 7 days.
Karen sent me a message on Twitter asking permission to use my Twitter bio in her new ebook. She then let me know that the ebook is available free on Amazon Kindle for five days starting 11 July 2013.
Having downloaded the book and quickly reading through it, the ebook, in my personal opinion, is a helpful resource for readers who want to use Twitter in a personal capacity, rather than for use as a communication platform for the organisation as part of an online communications and customer engagement plan as there are a number of elements that are improtant for business use of Twitter that have not been included in the ebook.
If you are a visual learner, you will like the fact that Karen has included a number of screen shots in the early chapters of the ebook when she guides you on how to set up your account.
Karen also provides some useful third party applications you can use when managing you Twitter account.
One tip in the ebook that I do not personally recommend, is linking your Twitter account to both Facebook and LinkedIn so that you can post yor tweets automatically to those platforms. This is particularly important in the context of business communications (for those readers who decide to use the ebook to help you with your small business) if you want to optimise your posts on different social networks to help you achieve the most engagement.
As a side note, personally I don’t think you can become a Twitter expert in seven days, but I understand why Karen may have used that title to try to encourage downloads and purchases of the ebook.
Congratulations Karen on publishing another ebook that I think people will find of interest – I know a lot of time goes into writing ebooks such as this.
You can download the ebook ‘How To Go From Twitter Newbie To Expert In 7 Days’ here. I hope you are still in time to benefit from the generous free download from Karen.
Remember you do not need a Kindle to read books from the Amazon Kindle platform – I read Kindle ebooks on my PC, iPhone, Android smartphone and even my Blackberry Playbook – access the Kindle apps here.
Resources For Learning How To Use Twitter
There are a lot of books that have been written about how to use Twitter that I have read over the years, but a good introduction for business users is ‘Twitter Marketing for Dummies‘ by Kyle Lacey.
The latest edition was published in 2011 since when, Twitter has enhanced their platform in a number of ways, including introducing the ability to publish videos using their Twitter Vne app. If you want to learn how to integrate marketing with Vine into your communication plan, check out my curation of resources for marketing with Vine on Pinterest.
