If you are using your smartphone of photography, videography and live streaming for business, you can improve the quality of the content by making sure your phone is stable by using a tripod.
One of the challenges today is that many tripods are able to accommodate landscape or portrait photography and today many content creators need both, for example for YouTube videos portrait works best, but if you are using Snapchat you need to create content in portrait.
I had the opportunity to review the Camkix Universal Adjustable Tripod Kit which is available on Amazon (I purchased the tripod at a lower price than you will find it on Amazon for the purpose of reviewing the product). You can find the product listed at the time of this review between £8.99 and £5.99.
You can watch a video review of the tripod below or on YouTube.
I was pleasantly surprised with what you receive for such a small investment:
- an adjustable tripod
- a universal camera mount that works in portrait and landscape
- a microfiber cloth
- a bluetooth shutter remote with a wrist strap – perfect for selfies!
- and a small velvet storage bag that you can put all the accessories into.
The one issue I found is that the bag is slightly too small for all the different parts.
While the tripod may not last you years (based on my experience with a similar product), the kit makes up for itself with the fact that the Universal Camera Mount will accommodate most smart phones and you can attach it in portrait or landscape mode to any tripod with a universal mount.
So if you are looking for an introductory level small pocket sized tripod to carry with you, it is definitely worth considering.
