Google Plus has released an update which means that you image, the title of your article and meta description can appear on posts that you share on Google Plus.
It is not clear of the image size that works best for this – for example I tested sharing an article where the image is 550 pixels wide and that appeared in the old format with a small image.
Larger portrait images seem not to justify left and right and have a space at either side.
So here I am testing an image that is wider than is deep and the width of the image is 600 pixels. This image would not however be effective for Pinterest where you need images that are in protrait format to be most effective.
I will report in a separate post what I find.
This is an important new feature and one that if you are a visual content marketer you will want to investigate for your business.
