Over the last year when we have been doing our series of recipes for Cooking With The Kids, we have gradually extended our store cupboard with spices, vinegars and different types of flour.
We have also added a variety of sugars so it was great to have an opportunity to add to that further thanks to Siucra who sent us a gift box of various sugars. You will see some of them in the image below and their full range is listed at the bottom of this article.
This is the first in a series of recipes where I will be featuring Siucra products – of course if you are not in Ireland you can find your own local brand equivalent.
By the way, if you are in Ireland and you want to win a hamper of Siucra products and you are on Instagram just tag your birthday cake photos from July this year with Siucra Ireland as I mention on this post on Instagram.
It has been great to see how the girls skills in the kitchen have developed over the last year and even to the extent that they are happy to start experimenting with their own recipes.
Today, one of the girls decided to make a Banana Smoothie for breakfast and you will find the recipe below. It was quick and easy for them to make and they immediately wanted to make some more as they thought it was so delicious.
We used full fat milk as I think there is still a place for that in the girls diets as they are growing tweens – of course as an adult you might want to change that for another type of milk.
You can follow Siucra on Facebook and Instagram.
And a final thanks to Wilson Hartnell for the Siucra Ireland products featured in this article.
