If you joined me earlier this month for the Pinterest Savvy training with my friend and author Melissa Taylor, you will know we referenced her training about how to create ‘eye catching’ images for Pinterest success.
This workshop takes place on 18 June 2014 at 9 pm ET and you can find out more about the programme here.
In her book which we discussed in the webinar, Melissa covers tips for creating impactful visual images and in summary she recommends they should be:
1. Make them beautiful – no boring standard product shots!
2. Ensure they are uncluttered – in her research she has found that heavy text and messy collage images do not get as many re-pins as single images though there are ways you can create beautiful collages
3.Let you image tell a story and evoke an emotion – so that people will be enticed to repin and also visit the website that the image belongs to
4. Check that your images are vertical – longer images do much better in terms of being re-pinned than horizontal images which means that on some of my articles that I create two or even thress sizes of images that work effectively across all social media channels I publish to.
You can watch the replay of the Pinterest Savvy online training I delivered using Google Hangouts here and learn from Melissa and myself about using Pinterest for your business but if you want to learn how to be more effective with your visual content for Pinterest make sure that you join Melissa for her eye catching pins online workshop – and do not worry if you are not able to attend live you will be able to access a replay.
Hint – the tips you will learn from this workshop will also be things you can implement across your other social networks!
