Even though we are in Ireland, we often celebrate the 4th July as we have a number of American friends and of course as I used to live in the US I have fond memories of being there.
This year I though I would curate some of my favourite party ideas from Instagram so I hope they inspire you to both follow the accounts I am referencing and also try some different things for your Summer parties. In addition, I am featuring some examples of brands using Instagram as part of their marketing to inspire you to think about your visual content on Istagram and how you can connect your brand story to a national holiday or event in an engaging way.

I hope you enjoy the Instagram video that I created as part of this article – other images featured in the Instagram video I posted include the American flag illustration from one of my favourite iPhone apps Bubbleframe App, star shaped cookies from Jenn Yee, cupcakes laid out like the American flag from Williams Sonoma, the American Flag chopping board from Martha Stewart, the table decorations from Olia Saunders and the DIY American flag sneakers from Forever21.
My favourite Fourth of July recipe from a brand on Instagram was this video from Chobani.
Tieks posted the recipe of their Red White and Blue Sangria on Instagram – a great idea of your recipe is easy to follow and only has a few ingredients.
Here it is with a couple of additional ideas from me: 2 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc white wine, 0.5 cup of lemon juice, 0.5 cup of sugar, 1 cup of blueberries, 1.5 cups of strawberries, 1 sliced pineapple to make the stars (if you do not like pineapple you could use apple or pears). Mix together andput in the fridge to chill.
I hope you had a great 4th of July and can use these ideas and recipes for your Summer parties.
