Have you been reluctant to use online video and live streaming for your small business?
You are not alone – many of the people I meet through my speaking and workshops are reluctant to start using video for their business – sometimes because they do not know how to get started, they are concerned about the cost and they do not want to be in front of the camera.
Thanks to a video I shared about how to use Periscope for business, Samantha Kelly reached out to me to thank me for the video tutorial – and a long story short it has resulted in a collaboration between Samantha, Jenny Brennan and myself for two live streams on Blab about how to use online video and live streaming for your small business.
Some of the topics we cover in the first part of the series include:
- Why and how we started to use online video in our business including tools that we have used
- Different ways that you can use online video for your business in your sales, marketing and customer service function
- Tips for using video as part of your sales and marketing funnel.
I recorded first part of the live stream and then we opened up for questions from the audience of viewers covering tips and inviting people to share their thoughts and tips for the next 90 minutes. If you would like to see the comments you can find them on the event page here.
The second part of the series was recorded on 10 September 2015 and we discussed live streaming for your small business.
Unfortunately both Jennie and Samantha had challenges with their wifi so it was not as straight forward a show with some glitches along the way.
The other problem we had with the audience joining the after-show chat was that one of the people who tried to join us had really poor audio – unfortunately Blab does not have a green room where you can get people coming into the filmstrip to test their audio and video. Planning for situations such as these is important when live streaming.
Some of the topics we cover in the second part of the series include:
- Why and how we started to use live streaming in our business including tools that we have used
- How to start to integrate calls to action to attract more leads and sales from your live stream whether you have a digital product or are a bricks and mortar business.
If you have questions about live streaming leave them below or DM me on Twitter or contact me to learn more about how you can integrate live streaming into your organisation to support your business goals.
And as I mention in the second show, if you are interested in learning about case studies of UK and Irish businesses using live streaming you can join me for the new interview series I am hosting with Peter Stewart a broadcaster and author called ‘Live Stream Insiders‘ – you will find the archive of our shows on Blab.
