As part of my curation of examples of how Google Hangouts On Air are being used for communication, here is a example that shows Pope Francis participating in a Hangout On Air live from Vatican City.
They discuss the launch of Scholas Labs, a project challenging students, developers and experts to use technology to improve education.
During the Hangout the Pope spoke with students with disabilities and special needs from Spain, India, Brazil and the U.S and they shared how technology is helping them study, play and communicate.
You can see the Hangout On Air on YouTube or below.
Interestingly in other Hangouts news, it also appears that Hangouts will soon offer translation which you can read about here.
Google Hangouts On Air can certainly help bring the world closer and in this case even the generations closer. What ideas does this give you for connecting multi generations across multiple nations for your next campaign?
