If you are looking for education in how to be a more successful blogger, perhaps you subscribe to podcasts or watch webinars? Have you checked out the free Google Plus Hangouts on Air that are covering blogging topics?
Here is an intensive and free programme that is taking place between 27-29 June 2014 and is being hosted by Chef Dennis Littley – you may recall him as being a guest on one of my Visual Content Marketing shows earlier this year.
This is the second time he has faciliated this event – you will be able to watch the episodes on Google Plus or on YouTube. The event registration page is not yet live so I recommend that you check out Chef’s blog later this week for the details of where to watch the different sessions.
Some of the topics include using Google Hangouts, podcasting, Pinterest and SEO – all to help you be a more successful blogger. You can check the full itinerary and speakers on this article on my Google Plus profile (remember to Circle me to receive future updates of the articles and events I hsare there if you are on Google Plus).
Not only is this virtual event free to attend, but as the conference is being hosted on Google Plus using Hangouts on Air, you will be able to watch the replays on YouTube so it does not matter if you are not able to watch the live event.
As an aside, Google Hangouts are a great way to host virtual events. I know when I chaired and hosted the first global Personal Branding Summit many years ago which ended up being featured in an award winning book, the cost of hosting virtual events was relatively expensive. In fact we have a conference call provider sponsor the event for us as the event was also raising money for a charity. The confernece call provider also gave us feedback and analytics.
How things have changed as today thanks to Google Hangouts, we can host our own events and virtual conferences or live stream an in-person event using Google Hangouts at no cost for the technology and we can access comprehensive analytics as I describe here.
I have taken a look at the itinerary and speakers and if you are a small business I think you will find some interesting content to help your blogging in shape this Summer. (It is not an event I recommedn for large enterprises).
If you are interested in learning about how to use Google Hangouts to host your conference or live stream the event you can explore my previous articles here and you can contact me if you need a Hangouts mentor to guide you and ensure you have a successful virtual conference.
