Are you using online video?
Just 7 months ago YouTube reported that more than 24 hours of video were being uploaded to YouTube every minute.
Earlier this month they reported that this is now 35 hours per minute – in other words 2,100 hours uploaded every 60 minutes, or 50,400 hours uploaded to YouTube every day.
So why the increase? Here are some of the suggestions that YouTube have but what do you think?
– Recently the time limit for videos on YouTube increased to 10 to 15 minutes – so perhaps people are adding videos they could not upload previously?
– The upload file size increased over the last few years by more than 10x to 2GB using the YouTube standard uploader
– Mobile phones with video capabilities enable us to add video to YouTube quickly and easily
– More companies integrating our APIs to support upload from outside of YouTube.com.
Do you have one or more YouTube channels?
Have you increased the amount of video you are uploading to YouTube in the last 6 months? And what are your plans in 2011 for producing and publishing online video?
